Chanderi sarees represent the historic town of Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh. Chanderi is a traditional ethnic fabric. Chanderi fabric is produced by weaving in silk and golden Zari characterized by its lightweight, sheer texture and fine luxurious feel.

Hand block printing is one such technique, which involves carving a desired pattern or design on a wooden block, covering this block with ink or dye and then stamping it on the fabric.
